HELENA CHENG
THE JOURNALIST
About
Helena Cheng is a multimedia journalist with a rich background in news production and reporting and she brings a dynamic blend of skills and insights to every story. She is currently a news producer at Bloomberg News. Her journey has taken her from the bustling newsrooms of ABC News to in-depth reporting at CNBC and local storytelling with New York Pavement Pieces. Her work spans high-profile interviews, breaking news coverage, and in-depth feature stories.
Always showing up on the frontline of history, her coverages range from high-profiled cases like sitting in the Supreme Court covering NYAG VS. Trump, and other cases like Cohen VS. Trump Org, and E. Jean Carroll and SBF. And she also pays special attention on representing her local Asian American community with stories on Lunar New Year Traditions and Mahjong culture.
Graduated from NYU with both Bachelor and Master’s degrees, she pathed a firm ground for professional reporting on both local news and national news.
Beyond her professional roles, she is also actively involved in leadership and community initiatives. As a board member of the Asian American Journalists Association’s NY Chapter, she has championed AAPI voices in journalism and raised significant funds through charity runs of the 2023 NYC Marathon. Additionally, she founded the Time to Run Club, fostering a vibrant community of over 80 members with a shared passion for fitness and marathon running.
With proficiency in multiple languages and a mastery of cutting-edge journalistic tools, I am dedicated to delivering compelling, accurate, and impactful news content. Explore her work to see how she brings stories to life and drive meaningful conversations.
